After downloading bundles of maps and testing them all out. I decided to make some of my own, suiting my own personal taste. This meant taking some of the ideas I've seen in other maps and combining them with my own ideas to make a map that I can really enjoy. I hope all of you enjoy them as well. Happy Marathoning!
I have only had a chance to test the maps playing with two people since we don't have any more macs laying around. Yet, With two people on two Quadra 840s we haven't had any problems and the flow seems to be pretty good also. Below is a little description of each map and the max number of players that are allowed on each level. I'm not going to go into much detail because I think that it is just more fun to play the maps than to read about them. On some of my maps I have included some secret rooms, but to make everyones life a little easier they are not entirely hidden.

X marks the spot: Max # Players 6; This map has sort of an arena in the middle, but with an elevated X in the center (hence the name). The center is then connected by some rooms winding off with various different surprises. The Aliens will also keep you busy. And don't forget to check out the undergroud passage. Plenty of ammo and guns too. I like not having to worry much about weapons and ammo; instead my main goal is just to kill who ever I'm playing against.

Hold on to your Pants: Max # Players 8; This map is small with a round arena in the center and some tight corridors. Lots of weapons and ammo. Making the carnage level quite high, even for two people. So if you like carnage this is the map for you.

watch your TOP SIDE: Max # Players 6; This is a more spacious arena type map, with some nice sniper shots to be had. Plenty of teleporters to get you around also. Also some hidden rooms.

Portals...What?: Max # Players 4; This is my attempt at a portal map. Playing with two people works fine, I don't know what would happen to Marathon if 4 were playing at the same time; so BE WARNED. If it works out, which I hope it does, thats great. This is a fun and interesting map to play in. Watch out for the aliens though. Even though they are not in the same room, they can still attack you. Which also means that you can kill each other even though you are not in the same room. Give it a go and check it out.

All maps brought to you by Chris Painter, and created with the excellent program Phorte (thanks Steve Israelson). If you enjoyed these maps please let me know and I will see if I can't make some more. Since I do have plenty of time on my hands. You can give me any feedback via email. painter@isc.chubu.ac.jp
See ya on the battle field.
